Makeup Tips

Hi,

All knows thats every woman have their own beauty and uniques.

At the same time, there’s no woman lacking any defects of appearance.

As for the face, the defects can be easily corrected with makeup and finally appear as advantages.

Every woman should know, how to apply makeup so that it would emphasize her natural beauty and make her more attractive and at the same time would hide defects.

Depending on the shape of your eyes choose different colors and ways of applying eye makeup. I will tell you how.

Eye Makeup for Deep Set Eyes

If you have deep set eyes, choose light and nacreous tints of eyeshadows, it would help to make your eyes appear visually bigger. Apply light eyeshadows on your eyelid from the inner corner of your eye to the outer and a bit further. Light colors should be applied in the middle of the lid, and darker colors – on and just above the socket line. Blend the darker shade up and out.

Eye Makeup for Wide Set Eyes

You can visually reduce the range between your eyes if you apply a darker tint of eyeshadows from the outer corner of your eye to the middle of the eyelid. Apply a lighter eye shadow from the middle of your eyelid to the inner corner of your eye. Blend in different shades in the middle of the eyelid.

Eye Makeup for Close Set Eyes

Close set eyes are those narrower than one eye width. Apply some corrector on the inner corners of both eyes. Using an eyeliner draw a very thin line with along the upper eyelashes so that it becomes thicker near the outer corner of your eyes. Apply a very thin layer of light eye-shadows from the inner corner of your eyes to the middle of your eyelid. Then apply eyeshadows of darker tints starting from the middle of your eyelid to the outer corner. Blend the colors in the middle of the eyelids. Use more mascara on the outer corners.

Eye Makeup for Asian Eyes

If you have Asian eyes, apply light eyeshadows on your eyelids. Use a pencil to make a thick smoky line along upper eyelashes (the line should be thick enough to be seen well when your eyes are open). Under the lower eyelashes draw a thinner line. In order to make your eyes visually wider apply brown eyeshadow on your eyebrows. Cover your eyelashes with two or three layers of dense mascara.

Eye Makeup for Down Turned Eyes

If you want to make down turned eyes more beautiful, it’s important to shade eye shadow up and out. Apply eyeliner close to the upper lash line and then blend in the shadow along the socket line in the outer two thirds of the eyes. In order to visually lift the eyes, apply dense mascara.

Eyeshadow Tips: How To Do A Natural Glossy Eye Look

Now we leran tips about how to do a natural glossy eye look. I like this tips very much. Its so wonderful and naturally. This is Phyllis tutorial from http://makeupforlife.net.

Enjoy it! maybe it can help u ...
What she says...

Glossy eyes
have always been one of my favorite looks. The subtle sheen it creates can instantly brighten up your eyes and give off a fresh, luminous glow to your whole face.

But while they are pretty to look at, they do have the tendency to crease and migrate. Besides, finding the right product to achieve the look and creating them itself can be tough. I have tried a few of the eye glosses out there but trust me, most of them have failed me miserably (and I don’t even have oily eyelids!!)

So instead of investing in a gazillion products that claim to give you glossy eyes that last, I suggest you to
simply use the good old Vaseline over your eyeshadow.

Below is a brief tutorial on how to create a natural glossy eye. I will do another tutorial on a dramatic glossy eye next week. Stay tuned!

What You Will Need

* Vaseline/Clear Gloss
* Shimmery Eyeshadow
* Waterproof Eyeliner
* Waterproof Mascara

Zorpia Photo Sharing: Free Unlimited Storage & Bandwidth

Steps
1. Start out with a clean eye area. Make sure you remove all traces of makeup and tidy up your eyebrows a bit.

2. If you have discolored eyelids, apply a
very thin layer of foundation to even out the discoloration. Otherwise, skip all kinds of base makeup on the eyelid including primer.

3. To really play up the sheen, apply a sheer layer of shimmery beige or white eyeshadow all over the eyelid and a little past the crease.

4. Line your upper and lower lash lines with a charcoal or brown eyeliner to give your eyes more definition. Curl your lashes and apply a few coats of mascara.

5. Pat a thin layer of Vaseline on top of the eyeshadow. Apply a little at a time and remember to use a stippling motion. Do not try to blend or you will end up smudging and rubbing the color off.

6. Clean up the undereye area with a foundation brush dipped in foundation/concealer.

TUTORIAL NATURAL GLOSSY EYE

BY http://makeupforlife.net/

So I did a tutorial on a natural glossy eye last week. Today I will cover a slightly more advanced version of the same look - a dramatic glossy eye.

Since the look involves the use of darker colors, it will require patience and practice to master it. Compared to the natural glossy eye, this also has a higher tendency to smudge. I highly suggest you save it for photoshoots or the runway.

What You Will Need

* Vaseline/Clear Gloss
* Black Eyeshadow
* Medium Brown Eyeshadow
* Highlighting Eyeshadow
* Black Waterproof Eyeliner
* Waterproof Mascara

Steps

1. Start out with a clean eye area. Make sure you remove all traces of makeup and tidy up your eyebrows a bit.

2. Apply a very thin layer of foundation or primer to prep the eye area.

3. Color in your entire eyelid with a waterproof black eyeliner (try Rimmel’s Exaggerate Full Colour Eye Definer in Noir) and line your lower lash line.

4. Pat a layer of black shadow like Jane’s Clubbing eyeshadow onto the eyelid and under the eye. Blend a medium brown eyeshadow (I used the color on the right in NARS Cordura Duo Eyeshadow) onto the crease. Highlight the brow bone with a shimmery color like B’s Pressed Eyeshadow in Bethlehem.

5. Reline your upper and lower lash lines with the pencil eyeliner. Curl your lashes and apply a few coats of waterproof mascara on top and bottom. Apply false lashes on the top if you want a more dramatic effect.

6. Press a thin layer of Vaseline onto the center of the eyelid. Remember not to blend the color or you will end up smudging everything (the gloss will work its way around anyways).

7. Clean up the undereye area with a foundation brush dipped in foundation/concealer.

Tips & Trends MAkeup MAde Easy

makeup tips by elianto.biz

1.Choose and apply a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation.
Dot it on over any blemishes or under-eye circles and blend with your fingertips or a makeup sponge.
If your concealer tends to cake, apply eye cream first.

2.Choose and apply foundation that matches your skin tone color.
Apply it in dots over the central part of your face, and then blend it out with a makeup.
sponge or your fingertips until it covers your entire face and neck.

3.Use a loose or pressed powder to keep foundation and concealer on longer.
Use pressed powder to touch up as and when needed.

4.Next is to do the eyebrows with eyebrow pencil.
Choose a color similar to your hair color for natural look.
Make sure that the pencil point is very sharp.
Use short, even, quick strokes, going in the direction that the hair grows.
Use the angled brush to blend it into your brow.

5.You may choose to start with three colors of eye shadow: light, medium and dark.
Use the dark only to line your upper eyelid, in a fairly thin line along the upper lashes.
Use the medium shade for the crease and the lightest shade for the area under the eyebrow.

6.Apply eyeliner
Use liquid eyeliner or an eyeliner pencil, and line the lower lid below the lashes.
Line only the outer two-thirds of the lower lid, or all the way across if you're trying to achieve a darker look.
Line all the way across the upper lid (just above the lash line and as close to the lashes as possible), or start the line where your lashes begin.

7.Apply mascara to upper and lower lashes, in two thin coats to avoid clumpiness.
Choose brown mascara if your coloring is fair; black or brown-black works well for darker coloring.
Or try colored mascara for special occasions.
8.Smile to find the apples of your cheeks, and apply blush to the apples or below, whichever you prefer.

9.Choose a lipstick color that's suited to your skin tone and that's perfect for your day look.
You may mix colors and textures to suit your moods and your outfits.

10.Apply lip liner after lipstick
That way you won't end up with a dark circle of lip liner after your lipstick has worn off.
Avoid combining very dark lip liner and pale lipstick.

SIMPLE MAKEUP BY XIAXUE

SIMPLE MAKEUP BY XIAXUE

My make up secrets revealed!

Every 3 days or so someone will email me to ask me how I do my make up (and believe it or not, it includes GUYS - or drag queens, to be more specific). I am not trying to be hao lian or whatever! It's the truth.

How to do the smoky eyes? How come eyelashes can look so long leh? What foundation makes your skin glow?

Today, I shall unveil the mystery once and for all.

Of course, the guys already know this post will bore them to death - unless their interest is to look at multiple pictures of me .... which everyone likes to, because I am shoooo pwetty. :D

I shall say first ah... I am not trying to TEACH anyone make up here. It may not be the correct ways to apply make up (if there is such a thing as a correct way); it is just MY way of putting make up on, because you girls (and gay boys) wanted to know.

But of course, my make up skills are superb, as is everything I do that is artistic (painting, drawing, photoshop etc, all are superb, ok? Because I am mega talented). I've taken some courses, but I have come to realise that everyone's faces, flaws, and good points are all different, so fuck those courses.

You just have to experiment yourself and see what kind of make up suits you. Some people (like Shuyin) look quite scary with smoky eyes. I look terrible with light make-up. Cloudy can't put make up because his face is hairy. Whatever floats your boat! Or rocks your socks! Or or or... Can't think of anymore lah! Let's start.

Here's how to get MY LOOK, if you are confident it will work for you:

Laugh all you want, ok? I will SOON be beautiful. So what if my hair is tied up in Chun-li buns now? When I let it down, it will so gorgeous, it will be the singular thing that engulfs your sweet vision before you faint from the beauty of it all.

So yes. Step one is to wash your face. Oh and btw, I still have like 3 pieces of my eyelash extensions left, as you can see. They look pathetic. Never we mind that now, mascara can always save the day later.

I use Za's two-way cake foundation. I've been using it since I was in secondary one, so yes, it is terribly good, and I know Chanel's or whatever atas brand's might be better, but considering a trade-off for money ... ZA's pretty good!

Wet the sponge thoroughly, and apply the powder all over your face. Remember never to apply against the grain... Do it in the direction your facial hair grows. If you don't have facial hair, then you are a freak and stop reading my blog.

Make sure the powder is even, and apply your neck as well. If you blot your face when it is excessively oily and all, the powder should be able to last a whole day. :) I apply a generous amount. My style is always to be sparing with everything - same for cooking, for painting, for talking.

Subtlety? Hell, no! If you are the sort who likes light make up, you can stop reading this entry now. :) Light make up? Sorry, I cannot even see it, so what's the point? Might as well save money and not put anything.

I like my makeup noticable, and making a DIFFERENCE to how I look.

Bloody shu nus.

Foundation is not enough for coverage: For flawless skin check out Inovi's Perfector! Sibeh fucking good coverage for pimples or scars (I have scars coz last time my pimples damn jia lat).

It is not cheap, but it is super good. Eh, I think Fiona Xie uses this one too.

Oh yeah I apply my foundation over my lips too. That's coz the outer lining of my lips are somewhat darker, and that is just gross. Oh well. The foundation covers that.

Next: Eyeshadow.

Start with a light-coloured, shimmery eye shadow all over your entire eye area. White or light gold will do.

Yes, even lining the bottom of your eyes. I usually extend mine to the interior rim of the eye too, as you can see.

more??? wait ya..i,ll post soon..or if u free just go to this blog...maybe you are interested to know more http://xiaxue.blogspot.com/

BASIC MAKEUP FOR COUNTOURING YOUR FACE

This is basic makeup for countouring your face..step bg step. By countouring your face you can ....

From http://blush-berry.blogspot.com

1. make you face slimmer

2. make your nose higher and slimmer

3. darken your double chin

4. make your receding hairline less obvious

Cosmetic Foundations

Cosmetic Foundations, Foundation Powders, and Other Face Make Up

Cosmetic foundations such as powders and liquid foundation are used to create a
clear, smooth skin tone - the illusion of seemingly flawless skin texture that will last as long as you desire.

Foundations provide the perfect base for the application of the rest of your make up products.

Face make up is meant to provide light to medium skin coverage and comes in a wide variety of colors and different types.

You may want to use the lightest covering during the summer and the heavier one during the winter.

Pick a Color that Matches Your Skin Tone...

It is also important to choose cosmetic foundations that looks natural (closely matches your coloring) and fits the desired effect you are seeking. You may require a separate concealer for skin blemishes, blotches, under eye dark rings and other discolorations.

Foundation should be applied to the skin first, before any other make up product, since other products may not blend as well to the naked skin and may even make blemishes and flaws look more pronounce.

Cosmetic foundations may be water-based, oil-based or oil-free, with varied consistencies and coverage, and are available in liquid, cream or powder form.

Loose Powder Cosmetic Foundations...

Cosmetic Foundations

Powder adds the finishing touch to your foundation and keeps you looking fresh throughout the day. Powder can be used on its own to look natural. Be careful not to use too much powder, especially around the eyes where the excess powder can settle into the fine lines.

Powder based cosmetic foundations have the function of combining both foundation and powder in one product. It 'sets' your foundation to make it last, it adds a matte finish to the skin that looks fresh, makes the skin seem finer by making the pores seem smaller. You will only need concealer in addition to this rather that setting the foundation with powder.

Generally, moist products are applied first and other powders follow. But when you use powder foundation, you apply the concealer first. Then, using a latex sponge, spread the foundation across the whole face including eyelids, but not the lips.

Loose Powder Colors

Pressed Powder Foundations...

Cosmetic Foundations

Pressed cosmetic foundations give a smooth, matte finish to the skin that helps control shine. It can be applied with either a damp or dry sponge. At first, it takes practice to use the right amount of powder.

This type of foundation works for all skin types and is easy to carry around since it's not as messy as loose powder. This makes it quick and handy for touch ups. It is available in more shades than loose powder.

When choosing a shade, get one as close to your foundation color as you can and use lightly since it tends to accumulate on your skin during touch ups.

Pressed Powder Colors

Concealer

Concealer provides extra cover to specific areas of the face that require more cover than that provided by cosmetic foundations alone such as dark circles under the eyes, a pimple, tiny veins, or redness at the sides of the nose. Concealer also offers a good base for eye shadow when applied to the eyelids.

Concealers generally come in stick, liquid, or cream form. For blemishes, a thick dry stick concealer is good; liquid concealers are thin and runny; cream works for almost everything and everyone.

Concealer should be one or two shades lighter than your cosmetic foundations and have the same undertone (go two shades lighter for very dark circles). Concealer comes in a limited number of shades.

Concealer Colors

Liquid Foundations...

Cosmetic Foundations

These usually offer light to medium coverage, can be applied using a sponge and are available in a wide range of colors that can be mixed to obtain in-between shades to match your skin tone (only mix cosmetic foundations of the same brand). Because liquid foundation is a more lightweight finish than compact it tends to be easier to use on dry skin. It is also best applied using cosmetic sponges.

To avoid a streaky finish place a very small amount of foundation on sponges and always brush over with powder. The powder helps the cosmetic foundations last longer.

Make sure you get the right cosmetic foundations for your skin type - choose an oil-based foundation for dry skin, water-based foundation for normal skin, and "oil-free" foundation for for oily skin. You can apply moisturizer 5 to 10 minutes before beginning your face powders application.

Liquid Foundation Colors

Cream Foundation...

Cosmetic Foundations

When using a cream-based cosmetic foundations, concealer may be applied either before or after the foundation. Use a wedge-shaped latex sponge and light strokes to apply the foundation across the face.

You can tell how a cream formula will cover by how it feels to the touch. The thicker and heavier it feels, the more it covers. So if it feels slightly dry it offers light to medium cover. Very rich cream pigments are used for stage.

Try not to cover too thick with cream foundation or it may look artificial and draw attention to itself.

How to Apply Eyeshadow

Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Apply Eye Shadow

There are two basic ways to apply eye shadow in shape shading, "rounded" and "winged". Now you want to determine what is the best shading shape in your case. You can try applying one shading shape (rounded) to one eye and the other shading shape (winged) to the other eye (this would save you time). Then go look in the mirror and see which one looks best on you.

Experiment and try all the different shading. You may be surprised to find that several of them may look great on you (the rounded technique seems to look good on the majority of women).

If you don't have much room between the eyelid crease of your eye and your eyebrow then apply eye shadow using the winged shape (unless there is some sagging).

Winged Shading

Winged eye shadow technique

Looks best where the skin towards the corner of the eye is not sagging such as on younger women because their skin is still firm.

Round Shading

Rounded eye shadow technique

Use when your brow bone markedly curves around the eye and don't use the winged style because it will make any sag more obvious.

Remember that the crease of the eye is always shaded. Here are some of the choices for shading and highlighting that you can try:
